Meet Kylah | Professional Dog Trainer

My journey into dog training began the way it does for many owners — with a reactive dog who needed real help. My dog, Scout, struggled with reactivity, and simple walks often turned into stressful, unpredictable experiences. After investing in multiple training programs that failed to address the root of the behavior, it became clear that I needed a deeper understanding of how dogs learn and respond.

That search led me to the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers, where I completed the Immersion Program and trained under one of the most respected trainers in the field. This experience shaped the foundation of my training philosophy — clear communication, structured guidance, and real-world application.

From there, I continued my education internationally, training in Greece before returning to the United States and working within a board and train program in Denver. That experience clarified what I didn’t want to offer. Many programs rely on sterile environments and standardized routines that don’t reflect how dogs actually live and learn.

That realization led to the creation of Curated Canines — a home-based, immersive board and train program designed around real-life integration. Rather than isolating dogs in kennel environments, I focus on building behavior through daily structure, real-world exposure, and consistent communication.

Today, I offer board and train programs and private dog training designed to help dogs become calm, reliable, and responsive in everyday environments. My goal is not just to train dogs, but to give owners the tools and understanding needed to maintain those results long-term.
